Description
The peaceful Melanotaenia praecox (Dwarf neon rainbowfish or praecox rainbow) is a very beautiful and a very active fish. Found naturally in the lush jungle streams in Western New Guinea, this fish is best kept in a planted aquarium. Praecox like to swim in loose schools, spread out across the aquarium. They only reach a max size of 2-2.5 inches.
