Description
Found naturally in Upper and Middle Congo River in Africa, Polypterus ornatipinnis has a banded pattern on its body and fins.
It can reach sizes of 18 inches in length. All polypterus are relatively peaceful with other fish that are too large too eat. Bichirs are carnivorous so feed meaty type foods.
